Speaking of development generated by oil-explofation has b.een common in Colombia in the last decade , this is due to the strengthening in economic growth and investor confidence generated by the arrival of multinational compames, with the goal of impiementing major economic megaprojects. However, the economic impacts generated by projects such as oil extraction, were not until four orfive years ago large focus of attention from ihe media. Thus, in 2010 the first demonstration led by indigenous Sikuani claiming their territory and demanding the departure of the oil is presented. (Communication Agency of Peoples, 2011).
