Resumen

Dumetella carolinensis crosses the Gulf of Mexico during the autumn and we know that stays in Peninsula de Guanahacabibes in this period. With this work we intend to settle down a base line that allows detecting and understanding changes in the migration for tracking down the specific status and serve as bases for the territorial handling. Captures were made with ornithological nets during the months of September, October and November in 2015 and 2016. The species appears in the area around October and the first ten days of November. The biggest percentages of captures were registered between the 07:00 hr and 11:00 hr. From the total of processed individuals (N = 252), 87,7% were juvenile and the 66,3% presented a completely ossified skull. The weight average of the species in the area was of 35,6 ± 3,4 g. The biggest captures rates were registered in transitional areas and semideciduos forest. The medium values for age was 2, for skull 5, for fat 2 and muscle 2. The number of captures increased when registered calm or when the wind came from the E, ENE and NE.
