Resumen
This contribution looks at some of the main explanations \nof emigration in Zacatecas (Mexico). Particularly we explore \nthree books written by academics from the United States \nthat are representative of this debate for each of the last three \ndecades. Simultaneously, we put these arguments in conversation \nwith discourses related to migration from ordinary people \nin Zacatecas based on interviews that have been realized between \n2009 and 2012 in different villages of Jerez de García Salinas \n(Zacatecas, México). [México, Jerez de García Salinas, Zacatecas; \nmigración, desarollo]
