Resumen

This document addresses the relationship between sex and science as a cultural device of knowledge within the sex / gender system, whose purpose is to know to master. The process of institutionalization of science led to the subordination of any type of knowledge to scientific knowledge that became a knowledge legitimized from power. The ways of knowing women and the products of that knowledge were delegitimized, hence the exclusion of women from scientific practice. Science was established as the totalizing discourse of life and history, so it is argued whether the presence of women has a chance of altering the episteme of domination.
