The vast majority of people who migrate are basically fathers or mothers in search of better job opportunities by allowing relatives or near their children, leading to a series of changes in family structure, this is known as international parental migration, a process where one or both parents migrate to another country. The overall objective of this research was to describe the role changes experienced by different members of a family who are living in situations of parental migration in Bogota when the mother has migrated to Italy, where his stories take account of the experiences through which they had to cross. The analysis was achieved through the participation of a family, which is made up, father, mother, and three children, where they conducted an interview with each of the members of this family. Then by means of a matrix valued whole process by which traversed before and after the migration of the mother. In this it was observed that the role change occurred from the time of parental separation and migration after the change is much more evident. The separation, migration and reconfiguration of roles created new experiences and feelings in the participants.
