MIGRACIÓN Y CONSTRUCCIÓN DE IDENTIDAD EN INDÍGENAS MIGRANTES: REFLEXIONES INICIALES SOBRE EL CASO DE MÉXICO

Resumen

Como parte del proyecto de Tesis de Maestria en Psicologia Social Comunitaria (UBA) sobre LA CONSTRUCCION DE LA IDENTIDAD EN INDIGENAS MIGRANTES se analiza este tema pensandolo junto a la realidad de segregacion, discriminacion y racismo que viven los pueblos originarios. Se toma para este trabajo el caso de Mexico, aunque la intencion es mantener en la perspectiva las realidades de otros paises latinoamericanos como la Argentina. En la primera parte del trabajo se presenta una panoramica general sobre la situacion actual del fenomeno indigena migratorio haciendo hincapie en la vigencia del mismo. En un segundo momento se revisan conceptos teoricos importantes acerca del racismo y sus formas ligandolos a las logicas particulares que adopta el fenomeno en paises con pasado colonial y poblacion mestiza e indigena. Intentamos finalmente ligar tambien estas expresiones con ideas respecto a la constitucion e historia de la identidad nacional mexicana. REFLEXIONS ABOUT THE MEXICAN CASE As part of the project for a Master Thesis about THE IDENTITY CONSTRUCTION IN INDIGENOUS MIGRANTS we analyze this topic by thinking of it beside the reality of segregation, discrimination and racism lived by original populations. We have taken for this paper the case of Mexico, even though the goal is to keep in focus the realities of other Latin-American countries like Argentina.. In the first part of the work the author presents a general panoramic about the situation of the indigenous migration phenomenon and she focuses in the currency of it. For the second part, The author reviews important theoretical concepts about racism and its ways like segregation and discrimination. To this end she puts a link towards the particular logic that this phenomenon adopts in countries with a colonial past and whose population has lived miscegenation but still keeps indigenous groups. Finally she also tries to link these expressions with ideas about the Mexican national identity’s constitution and history. Key words Identity Racism Ethnicity Indigenous
