Resumen

El Salvador is the Central american country with the biggest poblation living abroad. The civil war who lasted 12 years have left the country in a precarious economic situation with very few social guarantees for the people ( push factors) forcing them to migrate. The geographical proximity, some migratory policies and the economic opportunities in the United States (puli factors) made it the perfect destination country. There are concepts into the migration studies like feminization of migrations who helps to visualize the important role played by women inside the migratory flows, for example the creation of migrant networks which facilitates the exit of their countries of origin and helps other persons, in this case the salvadoran women were not the exception.
