The use of popular movies in the teaching of health sciences students. A multidisciplinary experience Summary. Popular movies have been used in a wide range of university courses for different teaching purposes, especially in studies of health sciences. This paper describes an experience of using such didactic approach in a wide range of subjects in the bachelor of Biology at the Pompeu Fabra University. Since the beginning of the studies, several films were used to promote the learning of diverse educational objectives. Specifically, seven subjects located in the five courses of the curriculum have been commonly used films as a teaching tool. In all cases, the experience was highly valued and it is continued in the new degree studies of Human Biology and Medicine.
