Resumen
In recent decades, the considerable migration from Mexico to the United States, has built a way of life which many children and adolescents have been part of, and later, when they have to decide on their own future, they see as an important option, to go to the other side. Little is known about the ideas that children and adolescents develop around the migrant life, and how that migrant life reconfigures the social organization of their towns. Therefore, the principal objective of this study was to analyze the development of the comprehension of social organization in children and adolescents through the study of migration as a possible occupational future. To carry out this objective, an experimental work was developed in Huimilpan, Queretaro, with 30 subjects, 10 from 6 ° grade primary school, 10 from5 ° grade secondary school and 10 from 5 ° grade technical high school. All of the subjects from the sample answered a questionnaire, a dilemma and a task concerning occupational hierarchy. The results are discussed from the Social Psychology of development theories, as well as from the educational and social implications associated with them.
