Introduction: (Background and Problem Statement) Provision of high quality health care services is a global challenge.The dominance of a curative, hospital based, fragmented and diseasecentric delivery model often impedes access to comprehensive and quality care.WHO aims to support countries in their shift from a curative, disease-centric, and practitioner-driven model to a people-centered and integrated services approach (PCIS).(World Health Organization [WHO], 2014).Integrating care to encompass the continuum of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care services requires that health systems change to implement quality improvement programs by using frameworks that support capacity-building.Large-scale transformational change is needed in health care to achieve PCIS.Evidence is needed to understand change that is systemic and spans across organizational boundaries considering the complexities in health care.The aim of this narrative review is to synthesize evidence on change management strategies across organizations that are conducive to, people-centered and integrated services (PCIS).Methods: A focused literature review using a 2 stage iterative approach was done to identify evidence-informed approaches conducive to PCIS.The two research questions were: 1) When introducing changes across health care organizations what are the best strategies for managing change and overcoming institutional resistance to change?2) What factors (internal and external) have been known to impede or facilitate organizational change across health care organizations?
