Resumen

The japanese colony that came to Colombia during 20th century became a voluntary migration that was received by the Colombian state in executive and productive terms, leaving the japanese comunity at the mercy of xenophobic gestures that were visible at least in the public politics that lead the migration subject into a racial whitening, undervaluing in that way the “yellow race”. In virtue of these and others social conditions of the context, we highlight of the japanese migrants a solidarity ethos, mutualism and care over and for the members of their community, worthy of replication between the region and the colombian people in general. Ways of being that are relevant for their similarity in the actual context’s events and conflicts.
