A telecommunications service provider located in the city of Quito, Ecuador, within its service portfolio offers solutions in fixed telephony calls interconnected with other fixed telephony providers in the country. In order for calls to be made between operators no telephone service commercial and technical interconnection arrangements are regulated in Ecuador by the Agency for Regulation and Control of Telecommunications (ARCOTEL). In order to improve the capacity, scalability and high availability in the network of interconnections fixed telephony migration network equipment E1's plying without redundancy was made, this architecture presented points of failure as it had tens of coaxial cables carrying each E1, active and passive equipment’s, limiting the ability to use the service; towards a technologically enhanced network in which a media gateway Dialogic IG-PRO that provides the ability to manage one STM-1 voice traffic (scalable up to 4 SMT-1), redundancy ring fiber optic was used between IG-PRO and the SDH network infrastructure Telecommunications service provider. In addition, DSG 2 teams that handle all signaling E1's joined. The implemented network allows the installation of new E1's without adding equipment in the interconnection network, assign logical and physical resources quickly and easily, at the same time provides management monitoring XMS for which the tool is used. In this final document it is described the infrastructure design and configuration of equipment with new technology and features telephone service that can use a carrier telecommunications company to improve service quality and gain better profitability in the medium and long term
