Tasa respiratoria de Cryphiops caementarius (CRUSTACEA, PALAEMONIDAE): explicación de la migración juvenil.
Openalex
Resumen
Oxygen consumption (standar metabolism) was monitored in juveniles of the freshwater prawn, Cryphiops caementarius, at different combinatipns of temperature (10,20, 30 °C) and salinity (0, 10, 20, 35°/oo) using individual semiestatic respirometers. The metabolic rale ( VO2) was affected significantly for the temperature, salinity and its interaction. The thermic sensibility (Q10) showed a clear pattern for the brackish water below salinities of 20°/oo. The metabolic responses to acute changes of temperature could be determining the up stream migration of the species in the natural habitats.
