Resumen

This work has as main objectives the study about the role of the rural communities’ migration of the state of Guanajuato and their analysis under the perspective of gender and age. Regarding the first aspect, the results indicate that part of these migrants live with the acquisition of basic goods, because the production is minimum, what makes migration to harm local development. The second aspect is about a larger amount of girls in high school, because the boys drop school to migrate. On gender and age regarding health expenses it was possible to detect that mothers provide their own needs, clothing for example, due to the shortage of economical resources
