Letras y migración: Análisis lexicométrico del discurso mediático de los procesos migratorios venezolanos en Chile (2019-2024)

Resumen

This research analyzes the narrative evolution of the migratory phenomenon in the Chilean press at two different moments: during the first migratory wave of 2019 and the recent wave of 2023-2024. The methodological design employed is a combination of quantitative and simultaneous approaches. It integrates automated textual analysis, which utilizes IRaMuTeQ software, with contextualization and qualitative interpretation of the data. The results indicate that the migration issue has gained prominence in the media agenda during the second wave of migration and has undergone a transformation in its informational framing due to the evolution of the context of the phenomenon itself. The findings of our research suggest the necessity of enhancing media coverage through the utilization of language, primary sources, and ethnographic approaches to journalistic production.
