The article analyzes trends and prospects for entrepreneurship in Ecuador, highlighting both barriers and opportunities for entrepreneurs. The main barriers include limited access to financing, bureaucracy and poor technological infrastructure, which restrict the ability of entrepreneurs to start and maintain businesses. Although government initiatives and support programs exist, they are limited in scope and effectiveness. Success factors include support and mentoring networks, business model innovation and strategic collaboration, which facilitate overcoming challenges. The adoption of emerging technologies and the diversification of entrepreneurial sectors, such as precision agriculture and renewable energy, are essential to improve global competitiveness. Despite the barriers, innovation is a crucial driver for sustainable development and the integration of Ecuador into the global economy.
