This research addresses the objective of analyzing the impact of noise pollution on the environment and health of the inhabitants of the San Marcos sector, in the municipality of Aguachica, Cesar. The study was developed under a descriptive type with a quantitative approach. For its preparation, a survey was applied to 25 women and 25 men between the ages of 18 and 60 in order to determine the effects caused by exposure to high levels of noise resulting from urbanization and the increase in commercial establishments. In addition, a review of secondary sources on noise pollution factors was carried out. As a result, it was evident that there is a high exposure to noise levels, which are affecting the quality of life of the inhabitants under study, having repercussions on health and the environment, the latter being fundamental for their development as human beings. Therefore, it is concluded that noise pollution is an environmental factor that interferes with daily activities given that exposures to high levels can generate alterations in physical, mental and social well-being.
