Resumen
This reflection article examines how governance, conceived as a state strategy to promote development and welfare, becomes distorted in school contexts. It analyzes its evolution through mechanisms like school concessions and vouchers, which impact educational quality within a market-driven environment. Governance adapts as an institutional management tool, influencing quality standards and discourses such as inclusive education. Using document analysis (Google Scholar, digital libraries, and primary sources), the study explores the transformation of governance in education. The conclusion highlights its contribution to a critical understanding of educational governance, emphasizing its evolution, applications, and challenges while paving the way for future research.
