Efectos del yoga sobre la salud global, la tensión muscular y el estrés académico

Se evaluo el efecto de un Programa de Asesoramiento Psicologico de Grupos para el control del estres academico, con cinco tecnicas psicofisicas de yoga: gimnasia psicofisica, relajacion, respiracion completa, pranayama y saludo de Pax. Se trabajo con 32 universitarios en un diseno experimental preprueba, posprueba y grupo control. Se emplearon tres instrumentos psicometricos: Evaluacion de Tension Muscular, Escala de Estres Academico y Cuestionario de Salud Global de Goldbert GHC-28. Sobre tres variables dependientes. Se ofrecio el programa durante 12 horas en 4 sesiones. Se encontraron diferencias estadisticamente significativas que apoyan la efectividad del programa. La aplicacion de Programas de Asesoramiento Psicologico constituyen estrategias de afrontamiento para reducir la tension muscular y el estres academico e incrementar la salud global. Yoga effects on global health, muscle tension, and on stress at college Abstract The effect of a psychological counseling group program to control the academic stress by using 5 psychological yoga techniques: psychophysic gym, relaxation, complete breathing, pranayama, and greeting of pax was evaluated. 32 university students participated in the study which consisted of an experimental design, using pre-post tests and a control group. 3 psychometric instruments were used: Evaluation of muscular tension, Scale of Academic Stress, and Goldber GHC-28 questionnaire on 3 dependent variables. The program was administered during 12 hours in 4 sessions. Stratisitic significant differences were found which support the effectiveness of the program. To apply psychological counseling programs constitutes coping strategies to reduce muscular tension, and academic stres, and increase global health.
