The objective of the research is to determine the factors that affect mental health in older adults \nduring the Covid-19 pandemic, reduce the psychological repercussions and strengthen emotional \nsupport strategies in the face of security measures and circumstantial changes related to \nconfinement, which allow to improve living conditions. Descriptive, cross-sectional research. \nPopulation made up of 135 Older Adults. The results indicated the study group, 55.6% women and \n44.4% men. The ages are represented 32% in the range of 66-70 years, followed by 21.5% of 60- \n65 years; 95.6% considered that they belonged to a risk group. The emotions presented were stress \nwith 51.1%, anguish 44.4%, 43% fear, 34.8% sad, 14.1% cry easily, the same related to concern \nabout contracting covid-19 with 37, 2%, missing relatives 29.2%, financial problems 18.6%. The \ndiseases present are Hypertension with 51.1%, Diabetes Mellitus 31.9%, Osteoarthritis with 20% \ndisabilities 11.1%, heart diseases 10.4%, the older adult population presents chronic degenerative \ndiseases than the put them at greater risk of getting infected. Most of the older adults presented \npsycho-emotional conditions due to confinement, it is necessary to emphasize the lack of health \nsupport, inadequate information on Covid-19 and the null psychological support.
