Resumen
Due to the close contact they had with Paraguay, since the moment of their arrival in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, the Spanish immigrants Rafael Calzada and Matias Alonso Criado, shared a similar profile. In this article we address a detailed analysis of their Paraguayan journeys, aiming to shed light on the transnational networks built during the republic from the countries they were living in: Argentina and Uruguay. Ultimately, this represented a turning point for the development of both their personal and professional lives.
