A New Species of Eleutherodactylus (Leptodactylidae) from the Cloud Forests of Western Ecuador
Openalex
Resumen
AS a result of intensive survey work by parties from The University of Kansas beginning in 1966, the frog fauna of Ecuador is becoming well known. For more than a decade, the primary focus was a study site in the upper Amazon Basin, but concomitant studies on the highland and slope faunas were conducted as well. The least tractable genus in the highland and slope areas is Eleutherodactylus-a genus that has not been extensively investigated, and one that is a predominant element of the amphibian fauna of the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador.
