Resumen

On January 15, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI in his message to the World Day of Migrants and Refugees tells us that “among the signs of the times recognizable today, migrations can certainly be included, a phenomenon that throughout the century just ended. it assumed a configuration, so to speak, structural ”. From this affirmation and in accordance with the Second Vatican Council, it seems that it is pertinent to illuminate this reality from the Scriptures and from an appropriate theological reflection. This will help us to discover in what sense and in what way God is revealing himself to us in the complex and heartbreaking reality of migration. In this line the present study is inscribed that we have understood as a biblical-theological approach to migration and whose core of work was the dialogue of the Venezuelan migratory phenomenon with verse 14 of chapter 41 of the book of Isaiah. The experience of God that Venezuelan migrants have together with the action of God announced by the prophet led us to the formulation of 5 guiding criteria for ecclesial praxis in favor of the migrant population.
