Openalex
Resumen
Abstract A total of 33 species of insects, chiefly Hemiptera, Diptera and Hymenoptera, were collected on wild and planted cocoa in Ecuador during July and August 1981. The insects are listed together with subjective estimates of their abundances. Preferred locations on the plant are recorded, and brief comments are made on the possible effects of the insects as pests or pollinators.
