Retención urinaria aguda por migración uretral de proyectil de arma de fuego

Resumen

We present the case of a 42 year old male who was wounded with a shotgun. The impact entered in the right gluteal region. The patient presented later with an acute urinary retention. An open urethrectomy was necessary. This is an unusual case, probably explained by the cavitation forces of the bullet, that can be easily ignored.
