Resumen

Introduction. This article identifies, through a
\ndescriptive research, the level of quality and
\ninnovation in health services and their contributions
\nto the organizational development and the attainment
\nof their goals. Objective: To identify the level of
\nquality and innovation in health services. Materials
\nand method. This research was carried out applying
\nan instrument of seven questions to ten companies belonging to the health sector. Results. The
\nresults showed that 90% of health entities invests
\ntheir income mainly in changes and adaptation of
\ninfrastructure, leaving strategic processes relegated
\nto the sustainability of the service such as quality,
\ninnovation, and technology, which prevents the
\ncontinuous improvement of the service borrowed
\nand processes. Conclusion. Based on the results
\nobtained in the research, it is concluded that, for
\nhealth care institutions (IPS), the implementation of
\na quality system is not a priority. This results in that
\n40% of their users feel dissatisfied with the services
\nreceived.
