Resumen
Recognizing that children under migratory circumstances have been invisibilized, the purpose of this article is to argue that children living parental migration are agents. Children whose parents are emigrant, influence and are infl uenced by social structures, they also have the ability of acting, deciding, and rejecting. I initially discuss a classification of the ways in which children live migratory circumstances and define parental migration. Then, I expose the conceptual argument about children as agents, and narrate the methodological details of a workshop we conduct with children in Pereira in 2008. Then, the analysis of children’s perspectives is built, interweaving their voices to the concept of agency. Finally, I present some conclusions and recommendations.
