Los limites de la ley : la salud reproductiva en la Argentina

The objective of this study is to analyze existing regulations pertaining to reproductive health at the federal and provincial level. The analysis includes political, cultural, demographics, geopolitical and religious aspects of reproductive health in Argentina. Beyond the legislative analysis of existing regulations at the national and provincial level, the study goes into more specific objectives : a) identify obstacles in implementing existing regulations for reproductive health; b) identify impacts of the application of reproductive legislation to the lives of peoples; c) identify obstacles which prevent the effective application of reproductive rights, already defined in the National Constitution; and d) facilitate information and make recommendations which will facilitate discussion and implementation of public legislation towards the promotion of reproductive rights in Argentina for men and women. This study has been prepared within the framework of the Bank for poverty reduction and the promotion for better reproductive health for women in Argentina.
