Learning styles refer to the way in which subjects learn under different social conditions and contexts. In this sense, this research analyzes the expression of the learning styles of the students of the first academic levels in the 5 careers offered by the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro, Baha de Carquez extension in Ecuador. The methodological orientation was based on a multivariate and discriminant analysis with a sample of 130 students who responded to the Honey-Alonso Learning Styles Questionnaire, whose results show a moderate predominance of the active and pragmatic styles. Furthermore, a statistically significant difference was found between the reflective and active styles, at a weighted level 49.2% are more reflective; This difference is observed in the Business Administration career, where 30.43% are more active; In relation to the Bachelor in Tourism 17% and the Bachelor in Accounting and Auditing students are 30.4% more active than those in Marketing, the Hospitality and Hotel Industry is notoriously active style, which has 16%. It is concluded that in the studied careers the predominant learning style is active, except in Marketing in which the pragmatic predominates..
