Teleworking: An alternative to improve mobility in Ecuador

Resumen

The alternative of teleworking has been raised as a possible answer to the problems of mobility that exists in big cities in Ecuador. This paper has the objective of presenting this approach by relating the improvement of the quality of life within the population and its contribution to the environmental sustainability. Presenting this alternative, depending on the people and not on streets, ways and vehicles, the paper develops the advantages and disadvantages of its applicability for an individual, an organization and/or society. Finally, it refers to the ventures, mainly at the public level, for its dissemination and implementation, understanding that the legal and structural framework in our country is still in the developing stages.
